We encourage creativity and innovation. Based in Calgary, we know and have seen that our city has a huge maker community. Everything from robotics and electronics to making soap and wool from scratch.
One of the events we host is Calgary Mini Maker Faire. We hosted our first faire Sept of 2012 and it was a huge success, we increased our community and attendance by the time we hosted the faire in Sept 14 and 15, 2013 with ACAD as our host.
A second large event we host is Make Fashion, a wearable technology fashion show that merges technology and haute couture, we team up fashion designers with technologists to create garments and showcase them on the catwalk once a year, we also host workshops throughout the year on wearable technology and started taking Make Fashion to several events in Calgary and for the first time, we were invited to participate at FashionWare fashion show at CES 2014.
